The Fulton County Animal Adoption & Education Center (FCAC) is the only open admission animal shelter in Fulton County. We are a non-profit organization that welcomes and cares for all strays, owner surrenders and animal control confiscates until the pets are either reunited with their owners or new homes are found. We advocate for the compassionate and humane treatment of animals through direct care, education and community outreach. FCAC adheres to the highest ethical standards and is dedicated to creating a community environment that eliminates the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals. We are grateful for the generous support from people like you in our community to help the animals and to provide programs and services to enhance the bond between people and their pets.

In 2016, we are proud to have reached "no-kill" status with a save rate over 90% for both cats and dogs. Being a "no-kill" shelter means saving both healthy and treatable dogs and cats, with euthanasia reserved only for unhealthy & untreatable animals. We never euthanize for space. As an open door admission facility, there ARE times we reach capacity. Thankfully we partner with numerous amazing rescues around the state who come to our aid when help is needed. We are all working towards a common goal of saving homeless animals and being a voice for the voiceless.
